Overview
House of Talent is a new reality TV show from Talpa Networks that offers artists the opportunity to launch their professional musical career and become successful. Eight budding music artists live in one house to work on their careers. The House of Talent is equipped to give beginner artists everything they need: instruments, rehearsal rooms, recording studios, a home theater to perform for fans, and experienced managers that will book performances and interviews. Each artist must prove themselves as an artist by releasing singles, performing, and promoting themselves on social media to keep their fanbase alive. Every six weeks, the lowest performing artist is replaced with a new artist.

Challenge
House Of Talent wanted an innovative “FaceTime” broadcast platform to gauge their artist popularity with fans. While performing on stage, the music artist can interact live over a huge LED wall with fans, which will be broadcast on live TV and simulcast on social networks, website and mobile apps.
Solution
Vydeo developed a unique House of Talent app for music artists to engage with their fans directly. Vydeo seamlessly integrated sponsor messages in the app via innovative formats such as in-stream video, in-video banner, rich media canvas and pre-rolls.

House of Talent producers prescreen the fans and control their live conversations with the music artist ensuring a fun and abuse-free live TV program. Vydeo simulcasts the live show to all digital, social, and TV outlets of Talpa Networks at super low latency.

Results
In September 2018, Talpa launched the House of Talent app on iOS and Android in the Netherlands. The House of Talent app attracted thousands of fans as they got a very unique opportunity to interact with the 8 music artists who are competing to be the best. Talpa also launched the Video Wall wherein live fans are invited to video chat with music artists performing on stage while the audience enjoys real time video interactions at scale between the artists and fans. Vydeo is proud to power this new dimension of fan engagement in reality TV shows and is looking forward to Talpa launching House of Talent in many countries successfully, as they have done earlier with The Voice, Big Brother and other successful reality TV shows.
